Dr. Soo Jin CHUNG
The Role of Virtual Characters in Enhancing Cognitive and Emotional Learning
Soo Jin CHUNG is a South Korean artist and researcher currently pursuing a PhD in Arts and Sciences of Art at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has actively participated in international exhibitions and academic conferences, exploring contemporary creation and plastic arts. She has showcased her work at prestigious venues such as Salon d’Automne at the Grand Palais in France, the Florence Biennale, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, the Gwanghwamun Exhibition at Sejong Center in Korea, the Yeosu International Art Festival, and PIER 94 ART EXPO NEW YORK 2015. She has also received awards, including Art Olympia 2019 (Japan) and the Modern Art Grand Prize (Korea). Her research focuses on the intersection of art and psychology, particularly the impact of art on cognitive and emotional processes. At EDUNOVATIC 2024, she analyzed virtual characters from psychoanalytic and art psychology perspectives. In addition to her artistic and academic endeavors, she holds a certification in art therapy and has worked on projects related to visual psychotherapy using digital media and pharmaceuticals. At EDUNOVATIC 2025, she will present a keynote speech titled “The Role of Virtual Characters in Enhancing Cognitive and Emotional Learning.” She looks forward to exchanging insights with global educators and researchers.
Dr. Jordi Mogas Recalde
Artificial intelligence: its impact on student autonomy and learning
Jordi Mogas Recalde holds a PhD in Educational Technology, a degree in Information and Documentation, has completed various postgraduate studies, and is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering. He is a lecturer in Education studies at Rovira i Virgili University (URV) and collaborates in the master and doctoral program in Education and ICT at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He is a member of the research group ARGET (Applied Research Group in Education and Technology), and his main research areas are smart learning environments, virtual learning environments, and self-regulated learning. https://ikas.cat/jordimogas/
